Indie rock newcomers Lo Beggar to headline free concert

Nashville, Tennessee – Lo Beggar, a Nashville-based indie rock band, will headline a free concert on Nov. 19 at Bonhoeffer’s, a cafe/concert venue open once weekly at The Church at Cross Point in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

With two new songs to be premiered, the quintet is ecstatic to headline the venue where its first concert was held earlier this year. Unlike the band’s usual, talkative club crowd, the crowd at Bonhoeffer’s is more inclined to listen, especially to a powerhouse act like Lo Beggar.

“Bonhoeffer’s is a great home base for us. The crowd is attentive and it’s a safe place for us to try out new songs,” guitarist/vocalist Chad King commented.

Seamus Fennessy, the band’s lead vocalist/guitarist, agrees and shares King’s excitement for the upcoming show. “With a few shows under our belt, it’s nice to feel less pressure going into this set,” he laughed, referring to his nerve-wracking first performance at Bonhoeffer’s. “I’m also excited to share these new songs, because they’re fun to play live and many of our good friends will be there to hear them.”

Local bluegrass/folk quartet The Orchardist will open the show at 8 p.m., followed by indie punk band KID, singer/songwriter Alex Cunningham and Lo Beggar.

Lo Beggar, an indie rock outfit from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in early 2015 after guitarist Chad King and drummer Preston Vaughn’s time playing with another band. Because of their busy schedules, the two decided to add singer-songwriter Seamus Fennessy, bassist Murphy Johnson and guitarist Kyle Mosurinjohn. With influences such as Manchester Orchestra and Brand New, the group formed over a mutual love for playing music together and sharing its songs with others.
